Images and Information on Railroad Signaling and Communications
AND SOME OF MY OTHER INTERESTS

In Memory of Jeffrey A. Seidel - June 11, 1956 - August 12, 2014

This is Jeff's website which is being maintained in his memory. Jeff was a friend and mentor to many people in and out of the railroad industry. He had a variety of interests that are represented on this website. He was a craftsman whose many restorations were meticulously executed. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always willing to share his vast knowledge with others. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I suppose this interest of mine started back around 1971 or 1972 when I was walking along the Main Line of the Reading Railroad near my home in Reading, PA.  I was amazed at the colors displayed by these signals and I tried to understand what they meant and why they were there.  Because  of my  childhood tendency to rip everything apart I put my hands on at home to see what made it work, I was very eager to see how these railroad signals worked, and over the last 35 plus years I was very fortunate to learn many things about railroad signaling.

I have also included pictures and links of other items and collections I also have an interest in.

I hope you enjoy this site and I welcome your comments.  Thanks for stopping by.
