Union Switch & Signal Co.
Style S Semaphore Signal

The Union Switch & Signal Company of Swissvale, PA introduced the Style S line of signals in the early 1900's.
This Style S signal came off the Erie Railroad in Waverly, NY. It was a Telephone & Train Order type of block signal designated number 255-2. It was mounted on a lattice post bracket mast and the lower arm was arranged to hang below the case of the signal. It employs a 2 arm slot chain driven mechanism operating on 12 volts DC.
